  We had a fantastic stay in this lovely home with our kids & grandchildren. The ocean view is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed every sunrise from the expansive back porch. The home’s location was very good - near the docks & kids pool at the Calibogie Club.

  The home was very lovely, but a few issues need to be addressed. For starters, there was no hot water in the downstairs half bathroom sink-only cold. There was a shortage of towels and we had to request more- which they did deliver. Some towels and washcloths were in poor condition- ripped and threadbare. The loft sofa mattress was in horrible condition and had no sheets. Again, we had to request and were told housekeeping was unavailable and would resolve it in the morning. I told them we needed sheets tonight and they were able to bring some over. Finally, two shades/blinds in the master bedroom did not go down, besides a lack of privacy, the red light from the buoy was in your eyes all night while you are trying to sleep. We were on the island for my niece’s wedding and appreciate the owners opening up their home. However, we feel the home was spacious, but because of the above mentioned issues, was not worth the high price we paid.

  We were staying for the 2023 Daufuskie marathon race and wanted a place close to the start. You can't do better, it was right across the street.
  
  The house was very nice and everything worked out great. It is also close to the "mansion" and ferry dock so very convenient in every way.

  The location, amenities and condition of the home were all great. My only comment is that the bedroom configuration was not as shown in the photos. We were a group of 7 adults (all over 65) and wanted a room with two twin beds as shown and described. There were actually 2 kid-size bunk beds in the upstairs loft bedroom and the queen bed was a futon or a sofa bed. I made a call to confirm the bedroom configuration before booking, but was not given accurate information.

  The location is perfect and the water views from 6 Lighthouse are amazing. The property was well kept, comfortable and clean! It was hard to leave the screened-in porch because the views of the water, wild life and boats going by were so peaceful and transfixing!

  The house is immaculate, located right on the water with excellent morning views. Walking distance to Ferry and Mansion and quick ride to the Calibogue Club. 4 bedrooms each with bathrooms which makes it easy for 4 golfers to get up and ready in the morning or after a round to get gussied up for dinner. Large open living space with screened in deck the width of the house makes for fun conversation space to enjoy spirits.

  We were both happy and content staying here! The location was convenient for the ferry and the setting was delightful by the water. Having plenty of dishes and stocked items like tin foil that are only needed occasionally were appreciated. We felt welcome and at home during our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again!
  
  The Haig Point staff on the whole were exceptional, especially those working at the embarkation building and those handling the package deliveries on both sides.
  
  If there was a wish list? It would have been nice to have had a water taxi on demand!!
