  Large home with adult pool, gym, tennis and golf course truly just around the corner. Quiet and peaceful. Home and linens are clean. Spacious master. Needs some repairs and lots of updating to compete with other houses for rent here.

  I was delighted to have my guests stay at 6 Outer Banks Way. The location is gorgeous and is within walking distance to the golf clubhouse. We were pleasantly surprised with the number of rooms and beds available. There are 5 bedrooms and a couple of extra beds. The house is beautifully maintained and clean. The home came with a golf cart rental and instructions for charging. The grounds are impeccably maintained with lovely views. I would highly recommend this home for any family wishing to visit Haig Point.

  We had a great time. There were just a few things I would mention that I would have appreciated as a guest. The sink in the master bath is clogged. I called maintenance and heard nothing back. It was gross to even brush my teeth in that sink. All the sheets in the house are very old. They are scratchy and pillie. For such a nice home and destination, I would have thought that attention to detail would be appropriate.

  It was ok, big home and fairly clean. Oddly decorated, but worked for our short weekend. Did not have cookie sheet/baking pan. Smoke detector battery died during our stay, constant beeping, maintenance staff not helpful with fixing it until convenient for them. Would not stay there again for the money we spent. Nicer places on the island.

  The house was great! We were a large family with young children. The house was better than expected. Nice added touches with books, magazines and games. The kitchen was very good and was nicely stocked with some start up basics. However, the stove top pans were a bit aged. It was nice to have a nice sized table and chairs in the kitchen. We actually never used the dining room, looked very chic! Lots of bathrooms and the master bathroom huge with big tub and large walk in shower. The house is centrally located at Haig Point and just around the corner from the country club and tennis/pickleball club. And there is a nice playground nearby too! Was looking forward to the backyard with firepit and outdoor entertainment area, but did not have time to use it. However, it was not very clean. Everthing outside needed a good cleaning. Perhaps since it was late spring, they had not done the spring cleaning yet.

  This would be an easy 5-star review if it weren't for the raccoons. There was no secure place to put the trash at night and each morning we'd find the trash spread all over the back yard. We tried the bungee cord solution provided, but the raccoons laughed. We finally ended up storing the trash inside and driving to the dump each day. Not ideal on vacation.

  Our experience was mostly great. It was a very nice house with excellent location! Some issues we saw were: Dead roaches on the floors, there was old coffee in the coffee pot, one upstairs bathroom toilet had something disgusting looking on the front of it, the porch furniture was old and dirty, and our luggage pick up was late on Monday...we had to call 3 times before they showed up.
